Replacing a bathtub with just a shower stall would most likely decrease the value and appeal of your bungalow. Most people are interested in at least one full bath and since you only have one I would not change it out.
If you want to have a half bath why not use the money that you'd spend converting the one full bath to a shower on installing a shower in the basement instead?
