Bathroom Renovation

We are renovating are only bathroom in our 50's bungalow. I am considering putting in a walk in shower, instead of replacing the bathtub with a new bathtub. The shower floor would be the same size as the tub area with either a shower curtain or glass partition.

I am wondering if putting in a shower only instead of a bathtub with shower, would be detrimental to the resale value of your home. We will in the future be putting in a half bath in the basement, but for now we have only the one bathroom.
