Portland Real Estate Investing Is Still Hot!

Portland Real Estate Investing.  The Portland, Oregon real estate market is perhaps one of the hottest markets to invest in right now.  The average home price is $267,000. 

Although Portland real estate may be higher than the national average the market is relatively active. That's right, people flock to Portland like ducks to water.

And why not? It's a beautiful city with good weather, clean industry and an excellent reputation. These things make Portland prime for real estate investors.

Some economists speculate that Portland's investment opportunities are declining. However, most signs right now show that if nothing else there are lots of untapped real estate leads; expired listings, foreclosures, fsbos, etc.

But for investors that are looking for the get rich quick type of investments, Portland isn't the place for it. I don't think anyplace is right now.

But if investors and hold investments for the long term they can find profitable investments. The right steps now can lead lead to future profits.

Investors that currently hold Portland real estate can sell their properties by pricing them right, but that can be said for anybody selling anywhere.

Pricing property too high can discourage buyers from making offers. And when investors drop prices the buyers sometimes wonder if something is wrong with the properties, causing them to look elsewhere.

Real estate that stays on the market for a long period of time usually becomes increasingly difficult to sell.  Consequently, the right price from the outset is vital to selling your real estate holdings.

You can determine the right price by looking at similar properties in the area.  While most people price property based on the price of other Portland real estate that is currently on the market, the better way is to look at similar property that recently sold.

Summarily, no matter what may be happening elsewhere in the Portland area a house that is priced correctly will win over a house that is priced higher than it should be.
