ou Need To Get Licensed in FL & PA
by: Lanard

Hi Michael. Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, neither Florida or Pennsylvania appear to have reciprocity and mutual recognition with New Jersey

So, the abbreviated answer for Florida is that among others things you will need to successfully complete a Florida Real Estate
Commission (FREC) approved pre-licensing course consisting of 63 hours.

This can be done online, or via a classroom-based course. You?ll also have to pass a state licensing exam.

You can email Call.Center@dbpr.state.fl.us for more information. Or, you can call 850.487.1395 Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST.

Similarly, the licensing requirements for a real estate salesperson licensed in Pennsylvania include having to successfully complete four credits, or 60 hours, of approved real estate education.

If you have a bachelor's degree with a major in real estate you may be able to have the 60 hour requirement waived. You may also be able to get this requirement waived if you have a juris doctor degree from an accredited law school.

You'll also have to pass a state licensing exam.

Questions regarding practicing real estate in Pennsylvania may be directed to the Commission Office: Administrator, State Real Estate Commission, P.O. Box 2649, Harrisburg, PA 17105-2649, (717) 783-3658. e-mail: ST-REALESTATE@state.pa.us.

Let me know if this helps!
